Privacy policy

Last updated August 10, 2026

This notice explains how Anima Studios srl handles personal data on this website, in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR) and the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended). The short version: this is a showcase site for a film studio. We collect very little, we sell nothing, and nothing non-essential runs without your consent.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Anima Studios srl, VAT 14270340962, registered office at Foro Buonaparte 59, 20121 Milano, Italy. For anything about this notice or your data, write to info@animastudios.ai.

What we process, and why

Contact form

When you send us a brief we receive what you type: your name or company, your email address and the details of your project. We use it only to read your request and reply. Legal basis: article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. We do not add you to any marketing list.

Technical logs

Our hosting provider records standard technical data when the site is served: IP address, request time, browser type. These logs exist to keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating a safe website.

Cookies and preference storage

The site stores a small set of values in your browser: your consent choices, and optional interface preferences such as sound on or off. Anything beyond the essential consent record is stored only with your consent. Legal basis: article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The full list lives in the Cookie policy.

Who receives your data

We use a short list of service providers acting as processors on our behalf:

  • Vercel, which hosts the site and produces the technical logs above
  • Resend, which delivers the emails generated by the contact form to our inbox
  • Vimeo, which serves the video players. The player runs with Do Not Track on, so Vimeo sets no tracking cookie and builds no viewing profile, but opening a page with a player does send your IP address to Vimeo in the United States
  • Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager). Not in use today: no analytics tool is installed and the switch in the banner is greyed out. If we install one it would measure site usage in aggregate, and only after you consent to analytics
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Meta Pixel, loaded through Google Tag Manager). Not in use today: no advertising pixel is installed and the switch in the banner is greyed out. If we install one it would measure our campaigns and build the audiences we show our work to, and only after you consent to advertising

The advertising platform is the exception to that list: for what its pixel collects we act as joint controllers with it under article 26 GDPR, each of us for the part of the processing we decide, rather than as controller and processor.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with data brokers.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of these providers are based in the United States, and some of the European ones pass data to parent companies there. Where data leaves the European Economic Area it is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or by the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

  • Messages sent through the contact form: up to 24 months from our last exchange, then deleted
  • Consent records: 12 months, after which the site asks again
  • Technical logs: for the short rolling window set by the hosting provider

Your rights

Under articles 15 to 21 GDPR you can ask us at any time for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what happened before. Write to info@animastudios.ai and we will answer within one month.

If you believe we are handling your data unlawfully you can lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of your own EU country.

Analytics, advertising and profiling

Analytics and advertising run only if you allow them in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that at any time from the Cookies link in the footer. Neither the tag manager nor the tags it loads run before you have made that choice. Analytics is read in aggregate: we look at which pages and films get watched, not at what any one person does. The advertising platform may build audience segments from that visit in order to show our work to comparable people elsewhere. We make no automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on anyone, and we never sell personal data.

Minors

This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process personal data of anyone under 14, the digital consent age in Italy. If you believe a minor has sent us data, write to info@animastudios.ai and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

If the site or our tools change, this notice changes with them. The current version is always published here, with the date at the top. This version is dated August 10, 2026.
