AutoTrader, The Great Celebrity Bake Off
Twelve sponsorship films for The Great Celebrity Bake Off on Channel 4, set in a world made entirely of cake: a roundabout of pancake, jam spilled across a road as traffic, a beach of biscuit crumb and ice cream cones. Through it drive miniature cars with small figures at the wheel.

The brief
AutoTrader needed twelve sponsorship films for The Great Celebrity Bake Off on Channel 4. The set already existed: IMA had built it by hand out of real desserts, at scale, and shot it exactly as it stood. What was missing was everything that had to move through it.
The process
Everything that moved through that world came from us. We built the miniature cars and the small figures driving them, rebuilt the imagery through a hybrid pipeline (generative and traditional compositing working on the same frames), then animated, cut and scored the films.
The result
Twelve videos, delivered as sponsorship for The Great Celebrity Bake Off on Channel 4. It's the kind of job where nothing can look approximate: the set is real, so everything added to it has to be real too, or the whole thing collapses.
